About Us
Hedge Rose is run by Kate Howard who began her career in floristry at a wonderful Oxford florist and then moved to Marlborough and gained floristry qualifications at both Lackham and Pershore Horticultural Colleges before setting up her own business. Kate has also undertaken a course in Garden Design with The English Gardening School . Hedge Rose was originally based at Sonia Wright Plants but has more recently relocated to lovely new premises in Marlborough.
Kate is assisted by florist, Charlotte Yeandel who works regularly at Hedge Rose including helping with weddings. Charlotte trained in floristry at an advanced level at Swindon College and despite her tender years has many years work experience.
Where do our flowers come from?
We use two high quality wholesalers who buy off the Dutch flower markets where the choice and quality is so good. Flowers come overnight and arrive in the shop early in the morning where we cut and condition them ready for sale. We are increasingly also buying English flowers and foliage from a Cornish based grower.
Seven day guarantee
All of our flowers unless indicated should last for 7 days. Our hand-tied bouquets come with flower food sufficient for one litre of water and care instructions to help prolong flower life.
If you are for any reason unhappy with the quality of your flowers please return them to us and we will give you a replacement, refund or credit voucher.
